There is all kinds of speculation on why my favorite coach in the NBA resigned. Most fingers point directly to PG Deron Williams.
I do find it a little hard to believe a man who has coached 23 seasons with a team would quit in the middle of the season without a clear reason why. I'm guessing we'll have to wait and see if he signs with another team.
So who am I hating on? Deron of course.
This kid is overrated. Media is pretty quick to put him in the 'elite' of point guards in the league, but I have to disagree. Nash, and CP3, are still the best in the league.
Rondo?
Rondo can't hit a jump shot, and his Ft's are terrible. Look at the way the Lakers guard him. Beg him to shoot, and you got a rebound.
Deron?
Deron WAS able to get to the basket and dunk. And now he's just playing on a sub-par team that's likely to booted the first round of the playoffs.
With all the rumors going around town about Deron pushing Sloan out. There has to be SOME truth to it. And though it may not be the soul reason why Sloan left. The fact that a new overrated, chubby, ugly-hair cut, shell of a point guard gives reason to one of the greatest coaches ever to resign....makes me sick.
The league will NEVER get a coach that coaches in the same city for over 2 decades. NEVER. Especially with such integrity. Sloan coached the greatest power forward of all time, and arguably the best passing point guard ever. And though he never got a championship (due to MJ) he was consistently putting up winning seasons every year. The Jazz were always a team to be reckoned with... until now.
Utah still has its lunatic fans, but lost all integrity.
Everyone hold on to your ass. The end is near.
