The postseason is over and here is what we've learned:
The Heat have lost.
Not once in the past 2 weeks did ANYONE give credit to the Mavericks for winning a game. It was constant criticism of the Miami Heat.
"Heat can't close out games"
"Lebron is choking in the 4th"
"The Heat gave this game away"
The fucking mainstream media covering their fat asses. What do I mean?
Well if Jon Barry's dumb ass predicts the Heat (the superior team) to win. Then every game is decided by the Heat. Jon Barry predicted the superior team to win, they just couldn't do it...see what I'm saying? Experts don't pick the wrong team, the right team just didn't win...
The Mavs got lucky!!! The Heat fell apart! Its the Heats fault!
That's horse shit! There' no such thing as being lucky in sports. Take the term "lucky punch" for example. There's no such thing as a lucky punch, because the fighter obviously meant to throw leather. It wasn't as if the opponent fell over his own two feet and got knocked unconscious.
What I'm saying is that the Heat had all 5 players on the court. The Mavericks were able to get stops and the Heat were not. The Mavs hit big shots and the Heat didn't. I don't see anything lucky about that. All I see is a team that's been together for more then 1 year, better coaching, and more hustle than the Heat.
What else have we learned?
That America would rather see a team Built of an MVP, four All-Stars,a wife-beater, a player with gun issues (including a man being shot in the leg at his house), a cocky sixth man who flies around the court with a Larry O'brien trophy tattooed on his bicep, rebuilt many times over with oodles of money by an obnoxious owner...beat the Miami Heat.
We have learned the public would rather watch a team lose, instead of win. We're obsessed with watching greatness fail. Just like we did back when Dallas lost in 06, and when Dirk lost in the first round against Golden State. Its as if we would rather root against a team, rather than in favor for the other.
Most of all...we have learned America loves to HATE.
