Most Hated Center

Yes it was a tie (again) between Perkins and Bynum. Which leads me to think the only people that voted were Laker and Celtic fans.

And frankly, you can both go to hell.

Two franchises that combine for half the Championships in the NBA.

Both with obnoxious fans. In different ways... but still obnoxious.

Boston fans don't mind blowing smoke in a pregnant woman's face, and LA fans fake being pregnant to get smoke blown in their face..ya

Worst Crowd Ever

This could easily be about Toronto, or New Orleans, or Charlotte. But there's a difference between fans that don't show up, and those that do show, but maybe shouldn't have...

Credit to Knox

In a city where ticket prices have inflated to ridiculous numbers; its hard to explain who actually goes to these games.
The average fan can't afford paying 100 dollars for the 300 section. But  somehow hardcore Schmucks can.

I don't care that the fans are rich, or celebrity. But I do care about cheering. At least PRETEND that you're there to watch the game and not to network. Swallow your pride for 3 hours and wear the yellow shirt over your $200 swanky dress shirt.

I'm not a Laker fan by any means, but I wish for one night ticket prices would come down so Staple Center could be filled with the real Laker fans...the ones that are annoying, and delusional... the ones that believed Rick Fox was a defensive specialist.. the ones that believe Derek Fisher doesn't flop... they do exist.. BELIEVE ME

** Editors Note**
Actually, I do care if you're rich. Ya dick.

Playoffs

The NBA Playoffs are finally here, and I'm already pissed off about the regular season.

forget the past 6 months

I woke up Saturday morning to began watching a TERRIFIC Bulls - Pacers. It was nothing I've seen since this time last year. It made me furious about the past 6 months.

No where in the past 6 months did I see teams play this hard, and this constant. 6 months of watching teams play half-ass til the fourth quarter. 6 months!

The only two match-ups throughout the regular season the NBA that enticed everyone to watch were opening day, and Christmas day.  Don't get me start about Christmas day, but opening day was interesting, and entertaining.

So back to Playoffs. They're here, and there have already been a few upsets. Lakers, and Spurs both lost. The Bulls and Mavs were lucky to escape with wins.

Allow me to go down the list.

Spurs - Grizzlies

The playoffs will show off: How old the Spurs really are, and how good of a Coach Popavich is.
The Grizzlies will show grit, and will scrap for every position. Shane Battier will heat corner threes, and Marc will prove who has the better beard between him and Pau.
The Grizz took game one, but once Ginobli comes back I see the spurs taking it in 6.
America will be introduced to: Zach Randolph, and Gary Neal.

Lakers - Hornets

ZZZZZZ!!
CP3 doing whatever he wants whenever he wants. Of course, thats because Fisher wears 5 lb shoes.
With West already gone, and a back-up center turning his ankle today (If you can't beat'em, BEAT'EM). I got the Lakers' size being too much for the bankrupt Hornets and taking this one in 6.
America will be introduced to: Chris Paul (Hes been gone for a while, America forgets quickly), Trey Johnson - i love these kids who work their asses off in D-league then get called up. He gets called up and immediately gets playtime in the Playoffs? Going from Bakersfield to the playoffs has to be like going from Kristie Alley to Scarlette Johanson.

Nuggets - Thunder

I don't have too much to say about this besides: Smash. There's gana be a ton of throwdowns in this series. I got Kendrick Perkins getting yammed on 20 times before the end of the series. This probably the most entertaining series, and no one will watch it. I got the Thunder in 6 close ones.
America will be introduced to: Gallanari - New Yorkers were the only ones who knew who this guy was. He was overshadowed during the Melo trade, but you'll see him hit 3's and take it strong to the hoop. Thunder Crowd - This crowd is something else. The closest you'll get to a college atmosphere in the NBA. Everyone is wearing those bright blue shirts, waving those white rags, and goes nuts over every shot. I'm still pissed about Seattle losing their team, but the crowd in OKC should make Seattle proud.

Dallas - Portland

The 'experts' upset pick. Experts give me a fucking break. Anyone who's been watching half a season of basketball could've picked that. You got the Mav's who choke it up every season, and the Blazers who's athleticism give the Lakers a rough time every game. With that being said.. I'm a little torn on this one. But I'm gana say the Blazers win in 7.
America will be introduced to: JJ Barea - Most famous for dating the 2006 Miss Universe, the guy isn't a bad back up behind Jason Kidd either. LeMarcus Aldridge - A HUGE All-Star snub. LA is one of the premiere power fowards in the league, and Andre Miller loves to throw lobs to him. He will dunk on Dirk 3 times before the end of the series.

THE EAST

Bulls - Pacers

I don't know if I should call the Bulls, The Bulls, or D Rose and a Bunch of god damn scubs. Everyone this site knows I love Lebron, but the MVP is the most important player towards a team. And D Rose proved that during game one. Because, if that guy doesn't have a stellar game one, then they lose to the 8th seed. He shot 21 free throws and ended with 39 points. I think theres a lot of room for concern for Bull fans. As soon as there's a hiccup in D Rose's game, the game is lost. Rose had an insane evening and they were down the entire game till the final minute. Psycho T went ape-shit and showed everyone in Chicago how bad Boozer is during the Playoffs. I got the Bulls in 5.
America will be introduced to: Danny Granger - The best player on the Pacers and one of the best in the league. A great basketball body and nasty jumper. CJ Watson - The man I feel most bad about in the league. He most come off the bench of D Rose. America will probably hate this guy before the end of the Playoffs. Rose comes out and Watson comes in, talk about a swing in talent.

Heat - 76ers
Heat in 4

Hawks - Magic

Probably the worst series in the playoffs. Well actually, the Philly Miami series is terrible, but at least you get the pleasure of watching the best basketball player in the Universe.
The Magic and Hawks is just bad. There's nothing appealing about this series besides of knowing who the Bulls will face next. I've always liked Josh Smith and Joe Johnson, and part of me wants them to beat the Magic. Partly because I feel the Magic are the Mavs of the East. Buttt... Who will have more dunks, Josh Smith or Dwight Howard? Magic in 7.

Celtics - Knicks

The run n' gun system that hasn't exactly worked out for D'antoni in the playoffs IS BACK. Except this time you don't have Nash and Amare, you got melo and Amare. And the first game went to the Celtics on a heroic Allen 3. This is a pretty tough match up for both teams. I feel you got the geezers on the C's that want to run with the Knicks but might have a stroke in the process. The Knicks who don't know how to play D-E-F E-N S-E. It's in the DICTIONARY! I'm gana go with the Celtics in 6.
America will be introduced to: Jeff Green? and Renaldo Balkman?

The Playoffs have been 10 times better then last years, and its only been the first game. The playoffs last year were fucking terrible. FUCKING TERRIBLE. The only good series was the Suns and Lakers. LeBron and C's could've been better without the Delonte West Scandal. I don't talk about mama's.

Quote of the weekend: "Have you tried Acid? Ohhh, tha'ts why you think Cocaine is tight. "

Sterling Does Not Want The Kings In Anaheim

The Kings did what they've always done. Put up a decent fight, but when it was game time, they got beat, again, by the Lakers, again.

My Money is this Tall

And thats it's it, the people of Sacramento have seen their last professional basketball game. Unless they want to drive 7 hours down the 5 to Anaheim, to Laker territory.

Sterling does not want the Kings in Anaheim. Its bad business.

The Clipper Business Model:

-Offer cheaper games then the Lakers
-Be in the LA Market
-Advertise sales through other marketable teams coming to town

The NEW Anaheim Kings model
-Offer Cheaper games the the Lakers
-Be in the LA Market
-Advertise Sales through other marketable teams coming to town

The Kings will be in direct competition with the Clippers and no one else.

The Clippers are about the lose half of their game goers.

With Anaheim being south of Los Angeles, you're going to have the Inland Empire, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley going.
No longer will basketball fans not directly in LA, or North LA be forced to drive through horrendous traffic, park in shady parking lots, and deal with...shitty Angelenos.

WE GET A BASKETBALL TEAMMMM!!

The Pond (Fuck Honda Center) is an easier drive, parking is easier, and safer, the people are douches (there are douche bros but I'd rather put up with drunktards, then being mugged).

And on top of all that, the Kings have had more success in the past 8 years then the Clippers ever have.

Now I'm not bold enough to say the Kings are gana be contenders anytime soon. But I can tell they can, and will be contenders to Sterns cheap and greedy, business model.

Bynum's MRI

For those worrying about Bynum's Hyper-extended knee. No worry.
I happened to get an early photo of the MRI and I think its safe to say nothing has changed and Bynum should be fine.

My favorite part of last nights game against San Antonio? Beside the fact the Lakers couldn't smash on the Spurs without them playing any of their starters..

When Bynum got hurt, he sat on the floor for several minutes looking like a complete baby. I loved it.

Because at that moment, the entire Staples Center was torn. Some people were holding their breath, some were booing.

Laker fans are sick of it, but I love it. Hes a bum. I don't know if there's any other sport where the player can just sit down on the play and pout. Hockey players skate of the ice virtually unconscious and times.

But If you've been a basketball fan for the past 10 years then you're familiar with how Vagina the league can be.

o btw, what's up with Charlie Villanueva going CUHHRAZYY

Video of the Week

In a new segment called video of the week, I will be examining the best NBA related video of my liking.

Today is a T-Mobile made music video for Charles Barkley.

If you're a fan of Antione Dodson and the auto-tune the news stuff, you'll probably love this video.
My only real gripe is, I wish they would've had clips of Barkley playing.

Anyway..

NO DANCIN', NO HUGGIN'

Barkley does address some key issues in this ridiculous song.

No defense, professional athletes can't make free throws. The game is soft, and stats are for nerds.

Work vs Play

Selling out, Giving in, The Man...

Its the inevitable and it will inevitably get you too. One day you will have to get a real job, make some money, and be self efficient.

I have no soul

This shouldn't hinder your Fan hood!

Imagine this...

Lakers down by 1, 6 seconds left, Kobe has the ball...he dribbles off his leg.. GAME OVER! LAKERS LOSE!

I immediately reach to my phone to text my Laker fan, "OHHH MY GOOODDDDDDD"

Laker Fan: "I'm pretty tired man, gotta work tomorrow.."

!!!

His purple and yellow dick should be castrated.

My fans...

Hey man, not all of us have the luxury of being unemployed, all non-void, walking around like you're Pretty Boy Floyd.

Ya I know, I'm lucky to sit here and criticize everyone the way I do.
But really! If you're gana be a fan, you gotta be a fan through thick and thin! That includes when your team is in the shit, or when YOU'RE in the shit!

Do you think its easy being a Suns fan right now? Watching Half-man Half-washed up shooting game winners? Not easy! Just because one may have to work in the morning shouldn't change the fact Vince Carter sucks, the fact the Lakers stinking up the league again.

Just because you gotta work, doesn't mean you gotta sell out

Violence!

Well oh well.

Look at this, the NBA is trying to grow a pair. What a shocker.

John Wall (the under achieving rookie, whose dance moves  get him more recognition then his game) punches Big Z of the Heat.
When I first heard of this, I thought Wall had to jump to punch Z in the face. Little did I know, Wall actually punches Z in his left side. A Hook to the ribs maybe. One punch then a whole lot of jawing, and nothing really.

Wall gets a 1 game suspension which is total crap.
One of the NBA's biggest problems is its inconsistency. Amare (yes I'm referring to the Suns) gets a game suspension for leaving the bench and walking onto the court, suspending him for game 6 at home against the Spurs - which they would eventually lose.
Wall intentionally inflicts harm on another player and gets the same suspension? How about Bynum acting like a fool and charging into Beasley? Ya, its a flagrant and dangerous foul, but he didn't intentionally mean to hurt the guy. Wall meant to hurt Z with that punch. Cock sucker.

The NBA needs to enforce its rules consistently. Because if you don't you have pissed off fans wondering 'what if' years later.

Next,

The Lakers and Mav's scuffle. Tough guy Barnes and.... Steve Blake? I feel as if Blake's parents were really concerned watching that. So tempers 'flare' and Barnes get ejected. No punches thrown, but Barnes got a good shove in.

The more interesting part of the night was when it appeared a woman at Staples Center tried to rush the court near the Mavericks bench. She was immediately escorted out by the 'red jacket crew.'

This is what I hate about the NBA. As soon as the woman tried to rush the court and crowds were being formed and commotion started.. the NBA pans away from the action. Putting it on Lamars face, or the Coaches.

I wanna see what's happening! Especially when the crowd is getting involved. Who can forget the Rumble at the Palace? That was amazing! I love how the aggression spreads from the court into the crowd! Finally! Some aggression!

Its all organic really. You get that many hood players in one arena and and of course something will go down. Its too bad not every team is conducted of Grant Hill's and Dwight Howards.

BTW.

Baseball still has basketball beaten in the violence department. Actually, Id say all sports have basketball beat.. all but soccer.
