And thats it's it, the people of Sacramento have seen their last professional basketball game. Unless they want to drive 7 hours down the 5 to Anaheim, to Laker territory.
Sterling does not want the Kings in Anaheim. Its bad business.
The Clipper Business Model:
-Offer cheaper games then the Lakers
-Be in the LA Market
-Advertise sales through other marketable teams coming to town
The NEW Anaheim Kings model
-Offer Cheaper games the the Lakers
-Be in the LA Market
-Advertise Sales through other marketable teams coming to town
The Kings will be in direct competition with the Clippers and no one else.
The Clippers are about the lose half of their game goers.
With Anaheim being south of Los Angeles, you're going to have the Inland Empire, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley going.
No longer will basketball fans not directly in LA, or North LA be forced to drive through horrendous traffic, park in shady parking lots, and deal with...shitty Angelenos.
| WE GET A BASKETBALL TEAMMMM!! |
The Pond (Fuck Honda Center) is an easier drive, parking is easier, and safer, the people are douches (there are douche bros but I'd rather put up with drunktards, then being mugged).
And on top of all that, the Kings have had more success in the past 8 years then the Clippers ever have.
Now I'm not bold enough to say the Kings are gana be contenders anytime soon. But I can tell they can, and will be contenders to Sterns cheap and greedy, business model.
